Apache Prayer

Yesterday we received a letter in the mail from the at home vet.
They wrote that they are sorry for our loss of Cinnamon, and its always hard to read these cards but one thing they said was that she was a 'silky soft gorgeous dog' and we liked that a lot.
She is gorgeous, everyone always would say things like that when we were out on walks or at the dog park, she kept her coat very clean.

The letter also had a Apache prayer in it which we both liked reading, it was as follows:

Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am a diamond glint of snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starshine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there . . . I did not die.

Happy Valentines Cinnamon

A few weeks ago we heard the song Crazy Love by Michael Buble and the lyrics made us think of Cinnamon, so we would play it and sit and love her. These are they lyrics:

I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heavens open up every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a river song

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
She takes away my trouble, takes away my grief
Takes away my heartache, in the night like a thief

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
(Love, love, love, love, crazy love)
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yes I need her in the daytime
Oh but I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight

And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin, brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
I need her love, love, love, love, crazy love
Crazy love, crazy love, crazy love

Cinnamon's Pain

The last time we were at the vet, I asked if we could see the x-rays of the tumor.
They gave us a couple images, but this was the only one where you could see where the tumor is.
I circled it in purple, you can see it was jutting out of her pelvis and starting to poke into her spine, which is what was causing all her pain.

Good Morning!

This was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning, Cinnamon's beautiful face looking over at me.
