Stairs

Stairs can be hard when you get older, if you were 98 would like to climb two stories of stairs every time you want to go outside and play or go pottie? I should think not.

Cinnamon also doesn't seem to enjoy the stairs as of late. Shes a trooper though, she tackles them with stiff determination. So stiff that sometimes her back legs act up in a manner to which they've been giving out on her because they are, oh so tired.

We understand that stairs are no fun, so we have begun to carry her upstairs when Cinnamon does not feel like climbing them that day. It's really quite nice, she just tucks her back legs under her tummy and looks around wondering when this human elevator will let her down.

Thankfully shes not too heavy, but of course even if she was, we'd still lift her.

The Deck

We've cleared off the deck and layed out a blanket for Cinnamon to sit on when were out there. At first, she had to be coaxed out, but she would just run from one door to the other not staying outside, then about a week later she would lay down if we sat on the chairs out there, now, we have both the sliding glass door and the bedroom door open to keep the house cool, and Cinnamon just goes out on her own now. She used to be pretty hesitant, unsure of the surface, her nails make a clicking sound on the ground so I think that makes her uneasy, but it bothers her less now it seems.
She likes it especially after we grill, and she sticks her head under the grill and licks whatever grilling juice has leaked through. We always tell her not to lick it up, but I don't really mind.
